Our new client is actively looking for a professional and experienced gardener/all-rounder for a private seven-acre garden and grounds located near Retford, Nottinghamshire, UK. The Principle would be happy to find a reliable and hard-working individual with excellent technical skills, a hands-on attitude and willingness to build courteous and respectful rapport with the Principle, colleagues and other members of the household staff.
The ideal candidate will have proven gardening experience. He must have a passion for plants and understand plant care, pruning and maintenance, be physically fit, good at prioritising tasks and adaptable to new surroundings and changes. Experience with garden machinery is requires as well. The list of duties is provided below.
It is very important that we find a person with relevant skills, sufficient working experience and outstanding references from previous employers.
The Position Type: Full Time, Live Out, Permanent
Salary: 28000 GBP Gross / Year (Calculate your Salary)
Working Days: Monday-Friday

Starting date: Early October
Duties:
- Maintaining lawns and other green spaces
- Maintaining and ensuring plant life
- Install and maintain seasonal plants
- Mowing, trimming and fertilising green spaces and bushes
- Mulching, edging and weeding gardens
- Maintaining koi pond, pool and spa areas
- Organising biomass pellet deliveries and troubleshooting boiler issues
- Maintaining all gardening and equipment and machinery
- Dealing with pest problems that could damage plants
- Responding to emergency or weather-related circumstances to ensure safe access
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experiences of working in a similar role in private households
- UK working permit
- Driving licence
- Outstanding references
