Job Overview:
We are pleased to introduce a permanent full-time opportunity for an experienced English-speaking Governor or Governess to support a welcoming family based in Dubai. The household includes two children, a 12-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy, though the primary focus of this role will be the younger child, as the girl is expected to attend boarding school in the near future. The family is supported by a full domestic team including a housekeeper, chauffeur, and private chef.

The position requires a caring and professional individual with excellent organisational skills, able to assist the children with their daily routines, academic progress, and extracurricular interests. The 10-year-old boy is particularly passionate about football, boxing, and guitar, and would benefit from a supportive and engaging mentor who can encourage his personal development. Responsibilities will also include liaising with the children’s school and tutors, accompanying them to lessons and activities, and ensuring a structured yet flexible routine.
The family values a warm, approachable professional who is both adaptable and reliable, maintaining a balanced approach that encourages discipline whilst remaining understanding and supportive. Occasional overnight stays will be required when the parents travel, with days off provided in lieu.
The family travels extensively during school holidays (summer and Christmas), and the Governor/Governess will be expected to accompany them; visa support for travel will be provided where necessary. All meals will be provided by the family’s private chef.

Working Days: Monday – Saturday
Working Hours: Approx. 42 hours per week (8:00 a.m. – school drop-off; 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.)
Language: English (French and/or Russian would be a bonus)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Accommodation: Live-out
Start Date: As soon as possible
Main Duties of the Full-Time English-Speaking Governor/Governess:
- Preparing the children for school in the morning and accompanying them to school with the driver
- Meeting the children after school and supporting their evening routine until bedtime
- Supervising and assisting with homework and school projects
- Organising and overseeing extracurricular activities, including sports, music, and social outings
- Managing correspondence and communication with the school
- Liaising with and coordinating the children’s tutors
- Travelling with the family during school holidays (summer and Christmas), ensuring continuity of care and routine
- Providing occasional overnight care when the parents are travelling, with time off in lieu provided

Minimal Requirements:
- Three or more years of relevant private nanny experience.
