Perfect Household Staff is pleased to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced and professional Housekeeper/Cook to join a warm and welcoming family of four in East Finchley, London. This is a permanent, full-time, live-in position ideal for a candidate seeking a long-term commitment with a household that values discretion, attention to detail, and high standards of service. The family also has a small, well-behaved Maltipoo dog.
East Finchley is a charming residential area in North London, known for its leafy streets, excellent amenities, and vibrant community atmosphere. The location offers easy access to green spaces and central London, making it both peaceful and well-connected.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of the household, with particular care taken when handling delicate materials such as wood, marble, and fine fabrics. While the family travels frequently, meaning that not all rooms will require daily cleaning, the property should be kept in pristine condition at all times. Laundry and ironing for clothes and linens will form part of the daily routine, alongside preparing healthy, homemade meals that are low in salt and sugar. Additional duties include regularly changing bed linens, maintaining cleanliness in shared spaces, and managing household supplies such as toiletries and groceries.
This role requires someone with a calm, warm, and friendly demeanour who is honest, reliable, and highly attentive to detail. Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent checkable references, an intermediate or higher level of English, and will be a non-smoker who refrains from wearing strong perfumes.
Accommodation consists of a private bedroom with en suite bathroom. To respect the family’s privacy, guests, additional pets, or children are not permitted.

Main duties of the Full-Time Housekeeper/Cook:
- Daily cleaning of all rooms, with reduced cleaning required when the family is travelling
- Careful handling of delicate surfaces and materials, including wood, marble, and fine fabrics
- Laundry and ironing of clothes and household linens
- Cooking healthy, homemade meals with minimal salt and sugar
- Changing bed linens regularly
- Maintaining cleanliness in all areas and shared spaces
- Managing and restocking household supplies, including groceries and toiletries
Requirements for this Full -Time Housekeeper/Cook job:
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Pet-friendly
- Non-smoker and not wearing strong perfumes
- Checkable references
- UK working permit
