Job Overview:

A family temporarily residing in Altrincham, Trafford, is seeking a professional and proactive temporary live-out Housekeeper/Nanny to support the lady of the house and assist with general household duties. This position is ideally suited to a highly organised individual with housekeeping experience and a flexible, discreet attitude. The property is a private, two-floor family apartment.

This is a short-term role with part-time working hours over 2.5 weeks. The client is looking for support approximately 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), with working hours from 8am–12pm or 2pm–6pm, as mutually agreed.

The principal is seeking someone who can assist primarily with housekeeping tasks (around 70–80%), with light childcare required on occasion (around 20–30%). You’ll work alongside a friendly and welcoming family with two young children (2.5 years and 7 months). No sole charge is required, but the role may include brief childcare support such as watching the children or assisting at bath time.

Duties will include:

General housekeeping (dusting, hoovering, tidying, bathrooms, kitchen, floors)
Laundry and light ironing
Light household organisation
Running occasional errands (unpacking deliveries, basic grocery support)
Maintaining clean, tidy, and well-stocked household areas
Basic childcare support (supervising, assisting at bath/bedtime if needed)

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience working in private households
Strong References
Friendly, kind, and able to work discreetly without supervision
Strong time management and ability to multitask
Right to work in the UK (DBS and valid documents required)
Comfortable around young children
Fluent in English
