The family is seeking an experienced laundress who is highly skilled in caring for a variety of fabrics, from delicate to everyday items. The successful candidate will have expertise in managing laundry, including washing, ironing, and wardrobe organisation, alongside the ability to carry out basic garment alterations and repairs. Main duties of the Full-Time Laundress:
- Managing the household's laundry with precision and care, including washing, drying, ironing, and steaming.
- Taking care of delicate and high-end fabrics, ensuring appropriate treatment and care.
- Wardrobe organisation, maintaining the clothing in pristine condition.
- Altering and repairing garments as needed, including hemming, patching, and other sewing tasks.
- Ensuring that all linens, uniforms, and household fabrics are well-maintained.
- Assisting with wardrobe seasonal changes and organising storage.
- Managing inventory for laundry supplies and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
- Collaborating with other household staff and being a flexible and proactive team member.
Requirements for this Full-Time Laundress job:
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Checkable references
- UK working permit
- Driving license (bonus)
