Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a wonderful opportunity for a patient, caring, and proactive Nanny/Housekeeper to join a welcoming private family based in the charming village of Brompton on Swale, just outside Richmond in North Yorkshire. The family consists of adult principals, two girls aged 6 and 11, and they also have two cats. They are seeking a dedicated and involved professional who will support their daily routine and contribute to a well-organised and nurturing home environment.
The role will suit a candidate with excellent communication skills who enjoys working with children and finds helping with homework easy and manageable. Set in a picturesque countryside location, this position is ideal for someone who appreciates a quieter lifestyle, and as the role involves regular driving, a driving licence is essential.
This is a live-out, full-time position working Monday to Friday with split shifts, providing both morning and afternoon support. The role involves a combination of childcare and light housekeeping duties, working alongside a cleaner who is already employed by the family. The Nanny/Housekeeper will be responsible for school runs to two different schools, transporting the girls to and from after-school activities, and providing consistent support with homework, which is an essential part of the position. A driving licence is required, and the candidate may use their own car if preferred; however, a family car will also be available. During the day, there will be time allocated for light household tasks, ensuring the home remains tidy and organised. The role requires flexibility, reliability, and a hands-on approach, making it well suited to a professional who is confident managing their time independently.
Working as a Nanny/Housekeeper in this household involves providing attentive care to the girls while maintaining a supportive role within the home. Duties include preparing breakfast, organising school drop-offs and pick-ups, assisting with after-school activities, and ensuring the girls are settled into their evening routine, including dinner and homework support. Main duties of the Full-Time Nanny/Housekeeper:
- Preparing breakfast for the children and supporting the morning routine
- Managing school runs to two different schools
- Collecting the children from school and accompanying them to after-school activities
- Supervising and assisting with homework
- Preparing simple, nutritious meals for the children
- Supporting the evening routine and ensuring the children are settled
- Maintaining communication with the parents regarding the children’s day
- Carrying out light housekeeping duties including tidying, organising, and maintaining general cleanliness
- Assisting in keeping the household running smoothly alongside the cleaner
Requirements for this Full-Time Nanny/Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of private nanny experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Conversational level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
- DBS check
- Driving Licence
