RUSSIAN SPEAKING HOUSE MANAGER JOB

A lovely family is in search of an experienced household manager to oversee maintenance for their residential properties. The primary family estate is situated in the Tunbridge Wells area, near the border with East Sussex, with additional properties in East Finchley and Richmond.

Given that the family and other staff primarily speak Russian, they would prefer to hire a house manager who is fluent in Russian, yet possesses a strong command of English to effectively communicate with third-party services and providers.
The ideal candidate for this full-time house manager position will have experience and qualifications in general maintenance, plumbing, electrics, gardening, and similar areas. Responsibilities solely entail house maintenance, such as monitoring and ensuring the proper functioning of all essential systems at home (e.g., boilers, sewerage, water supply, electricity, alarm system, video surveillance, Internet, etc.), assessing the condition of the surrounding area, organising maintenance/repair tasks, and overseeing work completion.
The family prefers a live-out house manager living near the main property. It is recommended that the candidate resides close to the primary site since they will need to travel there more frequently compared to the other locations—East Finchley on rare occasions and Richmond even less frequently.
Due to the varied nature of the role, we are seeking house manager with a flexible approach to their work and an ability to manage their time effectively. No task should be too big or too small.

Main duties of the live-out house manager:
- Overseeing household maintenance, general condition and operations works
- Overseeing maintenance and timely servicing of systems and equipment of the property
- Monitoring and ensuring the proper functioning of all essential systems at home (e.g., boilers, sewerage, water supply, electricity, alarm system, video surveillance, Internet, etc.)
- Help with sourcing and appointing contractors as well as monitoring their work in case of technical issues as to maintenance of the properties or refurbishment
- Organisation of maintenance/repair work, control, acceptance of work
- Communication with all services/service providers
- Some gardening work
- Minor domestic repairs
- Other ad hoc duties as directed
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a private household
- Excellent checkable references
- Enhanced DBS check
- Russian and English
- Driving license/ own car (bonus)
- UK working permit
