PART TIME HOUSEKEEPER JOB

Job Overview:

Perfect Household Staff are pleased to present a superb opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper to join a well-established, welcoming household located in the charming village of Aston Abbotts, near Aylesbury. This is a permanent, live-out position suitable for a professional who takes pride in their work and seeks long-term stability in a respectful, informal setting.

The role is offered on a part-time basis, with working days being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week. The working hours are from 9:30am to 2:30pm, with some flexibility depending on the needs of the household—totalling up to 15 hours per week.

Duties are clearly structured to ensure a well-maintained and efficiently run home: on the first day, one half of the property is to be cleaned; the second day will be focused on the remaining half; and the third day will include deep cleaning, ironing, laundry, and other general housekeeping tasks. The household uses organic products throughout and features natural stone surfaces which require careful and considered care.

The family includes four small and well-behaved house dogs – a Sausage Dog, Chihuahua, Jack Russell Terrier, and Whippet. No petcare duties are required; however, the housekeeper may occasionally be asked to let the dogs out during the day. Additional household support is provided by a live-in maintenance person who oversees dog care and general handyman responsibilities.

Part-Time Housekeeper duties may include:

• Performing high-standard cleaning and general housekeeping duties across the entire property
• Conducting regular deep cleaning, laundry, and ironing, with care and attention to fine fabrics and household finishes
• Using eco-friendly cleaning products and maintaining natural stone surfaces appropriately
• Occasionally letting out the family’s small house dogs during working hours, with no formal petcare duties required
• Ensuring the home remains consistently well-maintained and presentable to a high standard
• Demonstrating initiative, discretion, and a proactive approach to managing housekeeping tasks
• Communicating clearly with the household and adapting to any day-to-day needs or minor schedule adjustments
• Working collaboratively with the live-in maintenance person to support the smooth running of the household
