Perfect Household Staff is pleased to introduce an outstanding opportunity for an experienced live-in Housekeeper to oversee the day-to-day upkeep of a refined private residence located in the desirable area of Brentwood, Essex. Known for its elegant residential setting and excellent access to Central London, this location offers both tranquillity and convenience. The home is a generously proportioned, multi-storey property with five bedrooms and four bathrooms, although only a select part of the residence is routinely in use, allowing for a well-maintained and manageable working environment.
The appointed candidate will take full responsibility for the care and presentation of the home, ensuring it is maintained to the highest standards at all times. Core duties will include comprehensive housekeeping, fabric care, laundry and ironing, wardrobe organisation, and the general maintenance of the interiors. Particular care and attention will be required when working with fine materials and finishes, including marble surfaces. The role calls for a highly organised and self-motivated individual who is confident working independently and able to anticipate the needs of the household.
This is a live-in role, with suitable accommodation provided within the property. The working schedule is typically Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, with a degree of flexibility expected in line with the household’s requirements. A dog resides at the property; whilst no pet care duties are involved, candidates must be at ease in a dog-friendly environment.

Live out Housekeeper duties may include:
- Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the residence
- Undertaking full housekeeping duties, including dusting, polishing, and care of high-quality surfaces
- Managing laundry, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
- Organising storage areas and ensuring overall household order
- Monitoring and replenishing household supplies and consumables
- Working independently, demonstrating initiative and effective task prioritisation
- Remaining comfortable in a household with a resident dog (no pet care required)
- Ensuring all rooms are consistently guest-ready and impeccably presented
- Adhering to health and safety standards at all times
- Liaising discreetly with other staff members and external contractors when required
Requirements for this Full-Time Housekeeper job:
- Minimum 3 years’ Housekeeper experience within private households
- Fluent English communication skills
- Checkable references
- Valid UK working permit
- DBS check
