The second property, situated in the scenic town of Cranbrook, is a spacious two-story house owned by an elderly gentleman. This lovely home has five bedrooms and three bathrooms, though only one bedroom and two bathrooms are used regularly. The house occasionally welcomes guests, typically every three weeks, who utilise the other bedrooms and bathrooms, requiring these areas to be kept in a state of readiness.
The position requires up to 6 hours of work per week, with the housekeeper alternating between properties—one week in Tenterden and the following week in Cranbrook. Responsibilities include changing bed linen, managing laundry (washing, drying, and folding), dusting, deep cleaning bathrooms, general tidying and kitchen cleaning, as well as mopping and vacuuming floors. Additionally, basic meal preparation may occasionally be required at the Cranbrook property, time permitting.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, adaptable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility is essential to meet the specific needs of each household. This is a live-out role with a competitive hourly pay of £23–£27 gross. The successful candidate should have a valid DBS certificate and a driving licence to commute between the properties.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Cleaning and maintaining two properties in Tenterden and Cranbrook, alternating weekly between houses.
- Changing bed linen and managing laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and organising.
- Dusting furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to ensure a tidy and dust-free environment.
- Performing deep cleaning of bathrooms to maintain hygiene and cleanliness.
- Tidying and organising the kitchen, ensuring it is clean and functional.
- Mopping and vacuuming floors throughout the properties.
- Conducting general maintenance and upkeep of unused spaces to keep them in a ready state for occasional use.
- Preparing basic meals at the Cranbrook property as needed and time permitting.
- Ensuring the Cranbrook property is ready for occasional guest visits, approximately once every three weeks.
- Working independently and efficiently, using personal judgement and experience to prioritise tasks as per the client’s guidance.
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
