The principals are a family of five who value discretion, consistency, and exceptional attention to detail. The residence is maintained to the highest standard, featuring marble surfaces that require knowledgeable care and appropriate cleaning methods. The family travel approximately once per month, creating ideal windows for deep cleaning and detailed organisation.
Barnet is a well-connected area of North London with excellent public transport links, making this live-out position easily commutable. This role offers a structured and professional working environment alongside existing household staff, including kitchen personnel and a dedicated carer. Uniform will be provided for all staff members, and to maintain household standards, the use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited during working hours.
Working as a Housekeeper in this household entails managing the overall cleanliness and presentation of the residence, paying particular attention to surface materials such as marble, which require specialised products and care. Your duties will include evening housekeeping support across five days per week, with a focus on laundry, wardrobe management, and regular household cleaning. During the principals’ monthly travels, you will be expected to undertake deep cleaning tasks, ensuring every area of the residence remains immaculate and orderly. Teamwork and the ability to follow instructions closely are essential, as is a polite, professional demeanour.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- General housekeeping duties (dusting, hoovering, polishing, bathroom and kitchen maintenance)
- Mopping floors and maintaining high-traffic areas
- Specialist care of marble and high-spec surfaces using appropriate materials
- Bed linen changes and bed making
- Laundry, ironing, and full wardrobe management
- Deep cleaning tasks during the family’s monthly travels
- Coordinating respectfully with kitchen staff and the family’s carer
- Wearing a provided uniform and maintaining a professional presentation
- Strict adherence to no mobile phone usage during working hours
- Following instructions precisely and maintaining household protocols
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- 3 years of relevant experience
