We are looking for someone who is independent, capable of taking initiative and managing tasks autonomously, while also being flexible—able to adapt to changing priorities or requirements throughout the day. In this role, no two days are the same, and you must be prepared to approach each day with a problem-solving mindset.

Energy and enthusiasm are key, especially given the fast-paced environment of a large household. You will need to bring a positive, can-do attitude to your work, especially as you will be coordinating with the chef and PA to ensure that all tasks are completed to the family’s satisfaction. Additionally, as part of a wider household team, being a team player is crucial. You’ll work closely with others, and collaboration is key to ensuring the smooth running of the home.

The successful candidate will receive 20 days of annual leave, in addition to bank holidays, providing a well-deserved break and time for personal commitments. This is a full-time, permanent position, and we are looking for someone who is committed to establishing a long-term role within the household.

Main duties of the Full-Time Housekeeper: 

• Cleaning, laundry, ironing, and making beds, maintaining the overall cleanliness and organisation of the three-storey property.
• Dusting surfaces, vacuuming carpets, and mopping floors to ensure a pristine environment.
• Organising and managing the family’s wardrobes, ensuring clothing is neatly arranged and properly stored.
• Preparing and serving simple breakfast each morning, ensuring the kitchen is left clean and organised afterwards.
• Ensuring the dog receives proper exercise and attention during morning walks, while also adhering to any specific care instructions from the family.
• Beyond walking, providing care for the family’s dog, which includes feeding, grooming, and ensuring its overall well-being during the day.
• Working closely with the chef and personal assistant to communicate schedules and address any specific requests from the family.
• Occasionally assisting with errands and transportation of items as required; a driving licence is a bonus.
• Keeping track of household supplies, including cleaning products and pantry items, vitamins, and ensuring they are restocked as necessary to maintain smooth household operations.
• Assisting in the upkeep of the property by reporting any maintenance issues to the appropriate parties and ensuring that all areas are kept in good order.

 

Requirements for this Full Time Housekeeper job:

• 3 years of relevant experience
• Checkable references
• UK working permit
