This position is based in the well-appointed residence of a very sweet and respectful family of four, who are typically away for the majority of the year, residing primarily during the summer and making occasional visits throughout the year. The successful candidate will join a small and supportive team of housekeepers to maintain this beautiful home to the highest standards.
Knightsbridge is one of London’s most exclusive and elegant neighbourhoods, known for its luxury boutiques, iconic department stores, and world-class amenities. As this is a live-out position, it is ideal for candidates who are within easy commuting distance – the property is easily accessible via public transport.
We are seeking a discreet, reliable, and easy-going professional housekeeper who thrives in a team-based environment and can demonstrate strong attention to detail. The role will involve caring for a large, immaculately presented six-bedroom property arranged over four floors. The household is filled with valuable antiques, high-end furnishings, and luxury finishes, all of which require delicate handling and precise maintenance.
The housekeeper must be highly organised and take pride in maintaining a pristine and well-ordered environment, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard. The family appreciates a calm, reserved presence in the home, and as they are frequently absent, the successful candidate must also demonstrate initiative, trustworthiness, and a proactive approach to maintaining the household’s daily rhythm.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Daily general housekeeping across all rooms, including bedrooms, reception areas, and staircases
- Detailed care and preservation of valuable household items, artwork, and high-end finishes
- Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, kitchen, and utility areas to an exceptional standard
- Precision dusting, vacuuming, and mopping of all floor surfaces
- Laundry duties including washing, ironing, folding, and wardrobe organization
- Gentle handling and upkeep of luxury fabrics, linens, and delicate materials
- Coordinating with two fellow housekeepers to maintain household routines and deep cleaning schedules
- Ensuring all household supplies are well stocked and organized
- Reporting any damages, repairs, or irregularities proactively
- Maintaining a calm and unobtrusive presence, particularly during family visits
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Conversational level of English
