Perfect Household Staff is proud to present a wonderful opportunity for a reliable and experienced Housekeeper to join a lovely family based in Richmond, South West London. The household consists of two working parents and their two children – a 10-month-old baby and a 10-year-old – along with two friendly dogs. The family is seeking a hands-on and proactive individual who is dog and child-friendly, trustworthy, and comes with strong, checkable references. The principals maintain a well-structured household and are looking for a professional who can support them in keeping the home running smoothly.
This is a live-out position located in the highly sought-after area of Richmond. The neighbourhood is known for its leafy streets, excellent shops and cafés, and the vast green spaces of Richmond Park. The property is easily accessible by public transport, with strong Underground, Overground, and local bus connections, making the role well-suited to candidates based in London or the surrounding boroughs.
Working as a Housekeeper in a private household requires a high level of initiative, discretion, and attention to detail. In this role, you will be responsible for general housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry (with particular attention to gym clothing), ironing, and managing dry cleaning. You will also be expected to run occasional errands and ensure that the home remains well-organised, clean, and welcoming. The family are respectful and they require someone self-employed who can become a trusted part of the household team. They do travel a few times per year which will give the potential candidate more than enough time to have some down time as well as do the deep cleaning.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Full housekeeping duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and deep cleaning as required
- Daily laundry and ironing, including care for gym clothing and children’s garments
- Coordinating dry cleaning
- General tidying and household organisation
- Running occasional errands and light shopping
- Maintaining the cleanliness of shared family spaces and bedrooms
- Ensuring a hygienic and well-maintained kitchen and bathroom
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Ability to work on a self-employed basis
- Conversational level of English
