A welcoming family of three adults residing in a spacious four-floor, four-bedroom home in Peckham, London are seeking an experienced and flexible Housekeeper to join their household on a permanent basis. Peckham is a vibrant and well-connected area of South East London, known for its independent cafés, green spaces and excellent transport links into Central London. The family are seeking a professional who is proactive, detail-oriented and a genuine dog lover, as they have a well-loved Shiba Inu requiring daily walks. The principals value flexibility and high standards, particularly with regard to deep cleaning and overall household presentation.
Working as a professional Housekeeper within a private household requires discretion, organisation, and the ability to maintain a property to impeccable standards. In this role, you will take full responsibility for the cleanliness and smooth running of the home. Duties will include thorough cleaning across four floors, careful laundry management, overseeing deliveries and ensuring the property remains tidy and well-organised at all times. Dog walking twice daily is an essential aspect of the role. Whilst cooking is not a requirement, the ability to prepare simple meals would be considered a bonus. The family are open to both full-time and part-time arrangements, provided working days are appropriately spread out where part-time is preferred.
This is a live-out position and the property is easily accessible by public transport, with excellent bus and rail connections throughout Peckham and into wider London. This makes the role highly convenient for candidates commuting from various parts of the city.

Job Details:

Working Days: Three to five days per week, on agreement with the right professional (working days may include weekends if preferred; days to be spread out for part-time option)
Working Hours: 24 to 40 hours per week (eight hours per working day)

Main duties of the Full-Time or Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Full housekeeping of a four-floor, four-bedroom property to an exceptionally high standard.
- Deep cleaning of all rooms, including kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, and staircases.
- Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate fabrics and correct garment storage.
- Organisation of household cupboards and storage areas.
- Overseeing and receiving deliveries in a professional manner.
- Walking the family’s Shiba Inu twice daily and ensuring the dog’s wellbeing.
- Monitoring household supplies and replenishing cleaning products where necessary.
- Occasional light meal preparation (advantageous, but not essential).
- Maintaining discretion and respecting the privacy of the principals at all times.
Requirements for this Full-Time or Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Three or more years of private housekeeper experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Conversational English
- UK working permit
