Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced housekeeper / nanny to join a lovely, professional family comprised of two adults and three school-aged children (aged 10 to 11 years) along with two adorable toy poodles. This role involves working alongside a dedicated household team, including a private nanny, PA, chauffeur drivers, and tutors, with a primary focus on housekeeping and childcare within a fully staffed household.

Situated in a stunning 3,800 sq. ft. penthouse just a short stroll from Hyde Park Corner and Green Park stations, this position promises a warm and welcoming environment.
In this pivotal role, you will conduct daily housekeeping to a high standard, ensuring that the home remains clean and organised. You will manage all aspects of laundry, linen, and ironing—excellence in this area is essential. Additionally, you will oversee the weekly changing of bed linen to maintain a fresh environment.
Your responsibilities will include providing attentive care for the family’s three children, planning age-appropriate activities that support their development, as well as preparing healthy meals and snacks. This includes creating weekly meal plans and managing the grocery shopping list effectively. You will also provide care for the family’s two toy poodles, which involves walking, feeding, and managing general maintenance tasks such as scheduling vet appointments and providing pet sitting services. Occasional cooking for the family may also be required.
Routine tasks will include polishing silverware and communicating with the PA via WhatsApp/email to report any maintenance issues or necessary repairs. You will also handle various errands, including visits to the post office, and ensure that everything runs smoothly in the household.
The ideal candidate will possess a positive, proactive attitude and excellent communication skills to foster a harmonious relationship with the family. You should be an experienced housekeeper or head housekeeper with a proven track record of running and managing a home with minimal supervision. Experience in a similar role is essential, as is being child-friendly and having a full set of checkable references.
You must enjoy working in a team environment and be comfortable with the pet care responsibilities for the two small dogs, which form a significant part of your role. Candidates with an easy commute would be preferred for punctuality.
During school holidays, the family typically travels, and you will be required to maintain the home and carry out deep cleaning during this time.
