The position is offered on a self-employed basis and is ideal for a dependable housekeeper seeking a consistent part-time role with a manageable workload. The family almost never entertains, ensuring the role remains focused and structured. Additionally, as the principals frequently travel during school holidays, the successful candidate will have uninterrupted time to carry out deep cleaning and other detailed housekeeping tasks at their own pace.
The role requires someone with excellent attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and strong experience in caring for fine materials. The family wardrobe contains a number of fine fabrics, so expertise in handling delicate garments and using the appropriate laundering techniques is essential.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Thorough cleaning and upkeep of all household areas
- Dusting, hoovering, and polishing surfaces and fixtures
- Bathroom and kitchen sanitation
- Laundry and ironing of clothing and linens
- Knowledgeable care of fine fabrics and delicate garments
- Use of appropriate cleaning products to preserve high-end materials
- Respecting the family’s privacy and daily routines
- Deep cleaning during school holidays when the principals are away
- Maintaining consistently high housekeeping standards
- Pet-friendly attitude and ease working around animals (no pet care required)
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Three or more years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- UK working permit
