Located in the picturesque countryside of Northamptonshire, our principal resides in a large, listed country house featuring 10 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. The local area is renowned for its beautiful landscapes, historical significance, and welcoming community. The family comprises five children: one lives at their London residence, two are at university, one will be starting university in September, and the youngest is still at school. The family includes three girls and two boys.

This is a live-in position offering a unique opportunity for a friendly, hard-working, trustworthy, and long-term oriented individual. The role includes a 2-bedroom flat above our stable yard, ensuring comfort and privacy. The accommodation is spacious, featuring an en-suite bedroom with its own bathroom.
As the housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of the home. Your duties will encompass general housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management. Although cooking is not required, you will ensure all household areas are kept to the highest standards. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will ensure the smooth running of this large household.
The family owns three dogs (an Italian Spinone, a cocker spaniel, and a Lucas terrier) and seven ponies. While a groom takes care of the ponies in the mornings, occasional assistance with feeding may be required if the family is away. The dogs can be easily walked from the house, as it is surrounded by open fields and woodland.
