PART TIME HOUSEKEEPER JOB

Job Overview:
Perfect Household Staff are pleased to introduce a part-time, live-out Housekeeper opportunity based in Cholsey, Oxfordshire. This permanent position, commencing mid-June 2025, is ideally suited to a professional, proactive and trustworthy candidate with prior private household experience. The successful applicant will support the smooth running of a 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom family home, offering approximately 4 hours of service per day, five days per week, typically starting at 9:00 a.m. Additional working hours can be considered for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include full housekeeping duties to maintain the home to a high standard, care for two well-trained and friendly dogs (Labrador and Spaniel), running errands, liaising with external vendors and service providers, and school pick-up duties. In addition, the housekeeper will be required to provide general care and ensure the wellbeing of the client’s 16-year-old daughter during the client’s occasional business trips. This will involve overnight stays approximately 4–5 times per year, which will be paid in addition to regular hours.
A full UK driving licence is essential, and a vehicle will be provided. The candidate must be confident driving both automatic and manual transmission vehicles, with duties including taking the dogs to the vet, running general errands, and bringing the car to a service or placing it in the garage when required.
While not a core responsibility, occasional cooking for the family would be considered a bonus.
The family are English-speaking and can offer a contract. Remuneration is offered at £20 to £25 gross per hour.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Maintaining the household to a high standard through daily housekeeping duties including cleaning, tidying, and general organisation
- Caring for two well-behaved family dogs (Labrador and Spaniel), including walks and occasional vet visits
- Running errands such as grocery shopping, post office trips, and bringing the car to servicing appointments
- Liaising with external contractors and service providers as required by the principal
- Assisting with school pick-up and occasional support with household scheduling
- Providing care and ensuring the general wellbeing of the client’s 16-year-old daughter during the client’s business trips (occasional overnight stays, 4–5 times per year; paid additionally)
- Occasional light cooking if and when required (a bonus, not essential)
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- 3 years of Housekeeper experience
- Comfortable and confident around dogs
- Valid UK driving licence
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
- Flexible and willing to take on varied responsibilities
- Checkable references
- UK working permit
