Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a wonderful opportunity for a Full-Time Live-Out Housekeeper to join an informal, well-structured household in Henley-on-Thames. This is a permanent position supporting a single female principal who is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and self-sufficient individual to manage all aspects of the home.

The role involves working five days per week, approximately 30 hours per week, with flexibility around scheduling. The workflow is steady and well-organised, and the Housekeeper will collaborate closely with the Principal’s Personal Assistant. A gardener also attends the property once per week.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in both private homes and hospitality, and will be warm, discreet, trustworthy, and highly reliable. The position is best suited to someone who enjoys routine, is level-headed, and has excellent attention to detail. A calm, patient demeanour is essential.

The Principal resides in a well-maintained three-bedroom house, and owns three small dachshunds that may require occasional care. While cooking is not a major focus of the role, occasional basic meal preparation will be appreciated — the Principal follows a light, health-conscious diet: she does not eat red meat, avoids seeds and nuts, and very rarely consumes chicken, preferring fish and vegetables.

Although a driving licence is not essential, it would be considered a bonus, and an automatic vehicle can be provided for work-related use.

One of the key requirements of this role is that the candidate must be willing to work on a self-employed basis.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:        

• Regular housekeeping: dusting, hoovering, mopping, and surface cleaning
• Laundry and ironing
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness across all living areas
• Organising household items and maintaining order
• Occasional basic cooking and meal preparation
• Adhering to the Principal’s dietary requirements (no red meat, no nuts/seeds)
• Occasional pet care for three dachshunds
• Liaising closely with the PA and working harmoniously within a structured household routine

Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
