Job Overview:
Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present this excellent opportunity for an experienced private Housekeeper to join a welcoming family based in a beautiful countryside estate. The household consists of two principals, their teenage son, and two affectionate Golden Retrievers. A private chef is also employed, and the household is run with warmth, discretion, and respect.
As the family frequently travels, the Housekeeper will enjoy periods where the household is quieter, requiring mainly maintenance-level housekeeping and care for the dogs. During these times, flexibility and initiative are particularly valued. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and household presentation. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone energetic, discreet, and confident managing a large residence.
The position is full-time, five days per week, live-out. Due to the property’s countryside location, a driving licence and own vehicle are essential to commute.
Occasionally, the family may request the Housekeeper to stay overnight to care for the dogs when they are travelling, though this is not a regular requirement.

Job Details:
Duties will include:
- Full housekeeping: cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping
- Laundry management, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
- Care of fine furnishings, antiques, and artwork with appropriate products
- Bed-making, linen changes
- Occasional light meal/snack prep.
- Supervising the two Golden Retrievers, with occasional overnight care when the family is away
- Maintaining order and cleanliness across formal and informal areas of the home
- Supporting the smooth running of the household
Minimal Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ private Housekeeper experience
- Excellent, checkable references
- Conversational English
- UK working permit
- Driving licence and own car
