Perfect Household Staff is seeking an experienced and reliable live-out Housekeeper to join a private household located in Bradford, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. The property spans three floors, featuring five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a library, lounge, dining room, and kitchen. The household includes one cleaner, working in collaboration with the Housekeeper. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the residence, performing duties such as tidying, laundry, and light meal preparation.

The role requires a commitment of up to 25 hours per week, with working hours from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The hourly salary offered ranges from £23 to £27, depending on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and comfortable working in a household with pets, including two Labrador dogs and a cat.
The household has four children, and the Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and organised environment for them. Interaction with the children will be required as part of maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere in the home.
This is a new placement with an immediate start date. The successful candidate must hold a valid DBS certification, and having a driving licence is considered a bonus. The position offers flexibility in terms of employment, with the option to be employed directly by the family or work on a self-employed basis. This is an informal household, and no uniform is required.
Key responsibilities will include general housekeeping duties such as cleaning, making beds, tidying, and running errands such as shopping. Light cooking and dinner preparation will also be required. Live Out Housekeeper duties may include:
- Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of all areas within the property, including bedrooms, bathrooms, lounge, library, dining room, and kitchen.
- Performing daily housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, and mopping to maintain high standards of hygiene.
- Making beds, changing linens, and ensuring bedrooms are neat and well-maintained.
- Handling laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and organising clothing and linens.
- Running household errands, including grocery shopping and purchasing household supplies.
- Preparing light meals and assisting with dinner preparation as required.
- Managing household inventories and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Handling ad-hoc tasks and assisting with organising household items to ensure an orderly environment.
