A respectful and private family based in Southsea, Portsmouth, are seeking a reliable, disciplined, and patient part-time live-in nanny to care for a well-mannered 15-year-old girl while her father travels for work. Southsea is a charming coastal area within Portsmouth known for its seaside walks, Victorian architecture, and excellent amenities. This role would suit a nanny who is calm, consistent, and confident in supporting teenagers through this important stage of development.
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of boundaries, teenage care, and ideally, GCSE curriculum knowledge in English and Maths.
Working as a professional nanny in a rota set-up requires responsibility, attentiveness, and strong communication. The nanny will be required to live on the property from Tuesday evening until Friday morning, preparing simple meals, maintaining the daily routine of the girl, and ensuring her behaviour aligns with the expectations set by her father. There are no after-school activities or allergies to accommodate, allowing for a calm and structured household rhythm.

Main duties of the Rota Nanny
- Providing reliable and caring support for a 15-year-old girl.
- Preparing daily meals to a good standard.
- Ensuring respectful and disciplined behaviour in line with parental expectations.
- Being present and supportive during the father's absence.
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in the child's areas.
- Managing a calm evening and bedtime routine.
- As an added bonus, providing support in English and Maths GCSE subjects may be requested for additional pay.
Requirements for this Part-Time Nanny job:
- Three or more years of private nanny experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Conversational level of English
- UK working permit
